Baptism

Baptism is the way you exhibit your acceptance of Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. We practice baptism by immersion for those people who make or have already made a clear declaration of their belief in Christ.

 

Baptism by immersion illustrates Jesus' burial and resurrection.
For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.
1 Corinthians 15:3-4 NIV

 

Baptism illustrates your new life in Christ.
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV

 

Baptism does not make you a believer. It shows you already believe.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.  Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV
