Worship God | Connect with Others | Serve the World

J. Dan Hall, A Personal Snapshot

I was raised in Euless, TX, where I attended First Baptist, Euless. I was baptized by my future father-in-law, Dr. Bill Anderson, and licensed to preach under Dr. James Draper. Though I felt called to preach as a child, I finally surrendered to the ministry at age 17 after hearing Dr. Jay Strack speak at  youth camp.

I immediately began preaching youth revivals. Wanted to touch young people through the venue of coaching high school football, I went to college to teach and coach. Through the success of Cornerstone, however, with all the creative approaches to ministry producing fruit, I realized God had called me to develop leaders within His body.

After 30 years of ministry, I’ve discovered my greatest fruit are in the areas of what my wife calls his 4 M’s: Marriage, Men, Missions, and Money. Through our Marriage Seminars, hundreds of couples have been helped to find God’s great blessing on intimate relationship. I have been amazed and humbled by an increasing influence among business leaders as God has allowed me to share with CEO’s, business owners and high level management practical insights into how biblical principles apply to basic business. Additionally, my love for fund raising and developing a “can-do” attitude as it relates to faith for finances has help elevate many churches into better financial situations.

My leadership style is Establish, Impart and Release. I establish direction, impart the vision into selected leaders, and then release them to accomplish the task. My management style is “hands off relational.” I build relationally then entrust those leaders with the ministry. I lead by mentoring, encouraging, adjusting, and motivating. My joy to see others succeed allows gifted individuals to blossom around me without jealousy or competition.

I am told and understand that my strength is vision casting, mobilizing, creating, and communicating. My weakness is administration, so I seek to develop an administrative counterpart to ensure the implementation and completion of the work we initiate.

Having immersed myself in business culture the last 18 years, I seek to bring tangible change and influence on leaders, owners and upper level management by teaching them life principles in the context of business leadership and development principles. Training and personnel development are skill sets that I both possess and impart.

Additionally, I have worked extensively in encouraging and consulting churches, pastors, and leadership teams. This passion has allowed me to work with many churches and pastors in the USA and abroad.

My heart for foreign fields has landed me in 23 countries, helping to plant churches, develop societal improvement networks (Ivory Coast with over 26 churches working alongside government, Rwanda with over  200 churches, Turkey with networking cross-denominational ministry through business ventures), and build benevolence ministries (Ivory Coast, Rwanda, Philippines and Uganda.)

My lovely, beautiful and godly wife Hazel and I were married in 1987 and have six incredibly fun children: Hannah, Elizabeth, Rebekah, Lydia, Micaiah, and Bethany; one grandson, Kain Daniel; one granddaughter, Peyton Alexandra; and 2 sons-in-law.
